Teacher Rubric for Presentation
The teacher uses the following rubric to grade the students the day of the presentation.
Student Peer Evaluation
During presentations, students grade each group (as one) using a scale of 1-5 on the following topics. They must justify every grade with at least one comment.
- Language use: 50% (or more) of the presentation is in French. No repetition or translation occurs in the presentation. Speech is fluent and planned. No hesitation or choppiness occurs.
- Statistical Information on Region: Students clearly cover all necessary information about the region, which sets it apart from other regions (traditions, food, flag, etc.). About 1 minute in length.
- Tourist Locations: A minimum of 3 locations are covered. The connection to the region is clear. The justification for choosing this as a destination is well defined.
- Hotel & Dining Locations: The accommodations and food are within close proximity of the tourist locations. The food/lodging is reasonably priced. Most of the food is unique to the region; the rest is at least traditional for France.
- Budget: The budget is clear and organized. All activities are included on the budget and are realistically priced, justified by a reliable resource.
- Itinerary: The itinerary is clearly organized in chronological order and includes all of the daily activities. The time for each activity is realistic and appropriate.
- Explanation: The explanation of the planning and budgeting process is clear. It is made apparent how the organizational system worked for their planning and budgeting and how they stayed within budget.
- Visual: The visual is colorful, creative, and professional. Words are minimal. Full sentences are nowhere to be found. The organization of slides is apparent and realistic.
Self & Partner Assessment

- Communication : shared documents, delegation of responsibilities
- Organization : planning and budgeting
- Research : region, traveling & travel costs, food & lodging
